| Job Description | The Opportunity: Manage Global Site Analytics Team fpr a top International eCommerce company. Provide leadership, strategy, and hands-on execution that enables the creation of analysis about visitor behavior in order to improve our business, marketing, sales, research, and product development functions. The Manager of Site Analytics will oversee an analytics team responsible for collecting, measuring, reporting and analyzing web site behavioral data as it relates to overall user experience and to specific functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for actively working hands-on and managing team activities necessary for collecting web data, creating reports and dashboards, analyzing data, and generating actionable insights. The Manager of Site Analytics will ensure analysis and insights are communicated regularly to internal stakeholders so that they have the information necessary to make informed, data-driven business decisions. Specific Responsibilities Day-to-day management of Analysts responsible for collecting, reporting, and analyzing web behavioral data and communicating actionable insights across global properties. Lead a team of web analysts and recommend how the team should grow to meet business requirements. Create work plans and delivery schedules based on business requirements and communicate these to management. Consult and partner with vario Educate stakeholders regarding web analytics - ranging from terminology to the impact of visitor behavior on key conversion events and revenue metrics. Lead the web analytics function as it pertains to new site releases, including tagging and QA, report creation and QA, the distribution of reports, and the communication of analysis and insights. Define and manage research and analysis in order to create data-driven insights about visitor behavior from web data. Interpret web data to identify and justify new product and service offerings, enhancements, and opportunities. Optimize site features and functionality based on the data interpretation of AB and multivariate test results and other web data. Communicate analysis of a wide range of different web data from quantitative to qualitative to demographic. Determine and document best practices, requirements and processes for tool configuration, data collection, reporting, analysis, and the communication of insights. Follow and contribute to the product definition, functional requirements, and technical design process to ensure analytics requirements are understood, documented, and built into our systems. Participate in web site projects as a measurement and analytics expert, identifying reporting requirements, monitoring the reporting implementation, and evaluating post-launch metrics. Establish business processes that enable the execution of web analytics across our global business and ensure that analytics insights and research findings are shared regularly. Create effective presentations for a wide variety of audiences. Ensure data integrity and quality in the systems used and reports being produced. Act as one of the technical and business owners of the Web Analytics tool, serving as liaison to technology and business staff. | Qualifications | BA or BS with strong analytical skills.
Experience managing teams of 2-5 people. Experience with Web Analytics tools required (WebTrends, Omniture SiteCatalyst and Discover, NetInsight, and so on.) Familiarity with business intelligence tools (BO, Cognos, Hyperion, etc.) Experience with syndicated marketing research tools preferred (MediaMetrix, NetRatings, and so on.) Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel. Knowledge of relational databases and SQL. Basic level scripting skills preferred (Perl, JavaScript, VBscript, etc.). Excellent communication skills - both written and oral, comfortable presenting to large groups. |
