| Job Description | Our client is a premier, global luxury multi-channel retailer. They have always been a highly data-driven culture, but until now have relied primarily on qualitative analytics (research, focus groups, surveys, etc.). The firm has made a significant investment into becoming more quantitative. They have developed an advanced analytics group, which will reside within their global strategy and analytics department. This group will be responsible for "predictive analytics, customer segmentation and modeling, ad hoc business analytics and customer behavior reporting in support of internal global business partners". The Senior Manager of Advanced Analytics will report to the Senior Director of Advanced Analytics and will be an integral part of building this team and this function within the organization. Lead the execution of projects based on predictive analytics, customer segmentation and modeling, ad hoc business analytics and customer behavior reporting in support of internal global business partners Design, develop and implement analytical models using appropriate data mining and statistical tools, analyze results and work cross-functionally to generate actionable recommendations Identify and manage outside vendor relationships, where appropriate |

| Qualifications | Balanced expertise in data analytics (methods and application), relevant supporting technology, and business acumen
Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills Exceptional oral, written and formal presentation skills Demonstrated ability to generate innovative insights from rigorous analysis Experience managing projects, including ability to provide direction to others and successfully generate results Experience working cross-functionally, managing others through influence Experience presenting to and interacting with senior executives Minimum of bachelor’s degree; Advanced degree in Applied Statistics, Data Mining, Operations Research or equivalent is strongly preferred At least 5 years total relevant work experience with at least 3 years in quantitatively intensive role, preferably focused on analyzing retail customer data Experience with a broad range of data mining and optimization applications including: SPSS or SAS, Clementine, SQL, .Net, Web Analytic tools, Business Intelligence tools, etc. |
