Senior Integrated Media Planner

Our client is a small (200 employees), full-service media agency that has the backing of one of the largest advertising giants in the world.
They are currently recruiting for a highly motivated, talented, and experienced individual with a media planning background to join their Planning Strategy team.
As the Analyst, Integrated Planning your role will involve supporting a team that develops media strategies and designs activation plans that align with their client’s business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with your Strategy team, Activation team, and Marketing Science team to design media strategies and plans that deliver on client objectives
Leverage third party research to identify target audience insights as it relates to demographics, consumer attitudes, media consumption patterns, and product/category usage and habits
Craft and present comprehensive points-of-view on new media opportunities and media and marketplace trends
Perform competitive analyses, glean insights and trends for competitors and the category, and make recommendations based on key findings
Help prepare and distribute RFPs to media partners and evaluate proposals from vendors to inform negotiation approach and ultimately, the recommendation for the client
Rigorously maintain media plan flowcharts and budget summaries
Complete necessary functions related to the issuance of media insertion orders, billing invoices, and media reconciliation
Prepare well-articulated client media performance reports and determine optimization recommendations that help drive positive gains in key performance indicators
Stay apprised of new developments in the media landscape; meet with media partners and publishers on a regular basis to get early looks at programs and tactics that are strategically aligned with client’s business goals
Become a primary point of contact internally for colleagues in other functional areas, and for agency partners and clients by working to actively gain their reliance on you/the team
Help to train and guide the Assistant Analyst as they learn the fundamentals of the planning process. Delegate work and provide oversight to ensure that deliverables are timely, accurate, and up to the standard of quality established by the team

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
1-2 years of media planning experience with strong foundation of media planning fundamentals and metrics
Skilled in analyzing and interpreting data and research to help glean meaningful insights to inform strategic and media choices
Proficient in utilizing MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and syndicated research and competitive monitoring tools
Understanding of relevant tools & technologies, such as: MediaTools, Prisma, GCM, comScore, MRI/Simmons, AdIntel, iSpot
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; presenting experience preferred.
Ability to multi-task while demonstrating impeccable attention to detail and organization
Ability to collaborate well with staff, clients, and vendors at all levels
The desire to learn and grow and take on increasing responsibility
Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills
