Our client is a global restaurant company, which engages in the development and operation of some of the most recognizable brands in the world. They have over 30,000 employees and operate over 50,000 restaurants in 150+ nations and territories.

They are currently looking to add a Cloud DevOps Engineer to their dynamic and rapidly growing Data Engineering team. They are making this investment to help optimize their digital channels and technology innovations, with the end goal of creating competitive advantages for their restaurants around the globe.

This experienced Cloud DevOps professional will utilize their technical capabilities along with domain expertise to develop innovative solutions. This role is a great opportunity for an organized, analytical problem-solver who designs, develops, and maintains software and tools that support the building, deploying, and monitoring of cloud-based applications. This Engineer will be responsible for continually advancing DevOps culture and technology in a collaborative and creative environment using modern industry best practices and will be charged with creating cloud-native approaches to delivering solutions that meet our ever-evolving business objectives.

Responsibilities include:
Deploy and maintain applications on cloud-native architecture

Build and deploy automation, monitoring, and analysis solutions

Design and implement secure solutions for development, testing, and production applications and underlying data

Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments

Iterate on best practices to increase the quality & velocity of deployments

A drive towards automating repetitive tasks (e.g. scripting via Bash, Python, etc)

Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning

Document and design various processes; update existing processes

Responsibility for investigating and resolving operational problems in conjunction with the teams

Work collaboratively with Data Engineering/Scientist teams to help deliver products and features

Preferred Qualifications:
Have extensive experience in Amazon Web Services

Experience working with a data-centric platform is a plus

Experience with DevOps engineering and process automation

Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm

Experience developing CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based infrastructure and applications

Experience with cloud monitoring and logging technologies such as Prometheus and Elastic Stack

Experience developing observability dashboards using tools like Grafana or Kibana

Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation

Experience architecting, deploying, or coding solutions on AWS

Experience in GitLab SCM and CI/CD implementation is a plus

Demonstrate understanding and proven track record for cloud-based solutions, continuous integration/deployment and cloud architecture

AWS Certification is a plus
