Head of Sales
Location: Center City Philadelphia (hybrid - one day a week in office)

The Head of Sales will be a dynamic leader responsible for developing sales strategy, overseeing all sales operations and driving sales revenue growth. This role will report directly to the Publisher & CEO and will involve developing and implementing comprehensive sales strategies and tactics, managing high-performance sales teams, and building strong relationships with key clients and partners. The Head of Sales will be a pivotal member of the company’s Leadership Team, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Design the Sales organization to support the revenue goals for the short and long term.
Lead the sales organization in identifying the priority business opportunities
Lead the sales organization developing top client relationships.
Collaborate with the executive team to align sales strategies with overall company objectives and market trends.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train and retain a high-performing sales team.
Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching to ensure team members meet or exceed goals.
Foster a pro-active sales culture that drives the business and is essential to clients with a stake in Philadelphia and the region.
Client Relations:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners
Represent the company at industry events and conferences to enhance brand presence and network with potential clients.
Sales Operations:
Oversee the development of sales processes, tools, and technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Oversee sales product and pricing strategy to drive revenue goals
Analyze sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, preferably within the media, advertising, or digital content sectors. Team management a plus.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets and driving sales growth.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing sales team.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically.
Proficiency in sales technologies and CRM software.
High level of integrity and a commitment to Inquirer company values.
