Strategic Business Development Manager
Location: Houston, TX
We are working with alliantgroup, a consulting company for the middle market that is currently experiencing explosive growth. Their core area of expertise is around tax rebates and incentives for small and medium sized businesses, but they have also launched several complimentary consulting practices within the last couple of years, such as cybersecurity, IT and talent services.
They have created a new position for a strategy professional to drive revenue in assigned regions. This is a unique opportunity to “sit at the table” and make a huge impact on the growth of a $1B business. This will be done via the development of strategic alliances, partnerships and events. The net result will be improved brand recognition in key markets and new channels for the business development team to penetrate.
Responsibilities:
Identify and determine each region’s priority markets. Create a strategic plan for each focus market, in order to increase awareness amongst CPA Firms, CPA Firm Alliances and Associations.
Create marketing strategy supported by participation at conferences, coordinating webinars, direct calling lists, and email blasts.
Coordinate webinars related to top industries for the region’s director to host. Provide attendee lists to RD to utilize for follow up calls.
Set intros/speaking engagements with Affiliations
Utilize Strategic Advisory Board for national-level speaking engagements
Utilize local directors for state/local speaking engagements
Develop and execute strategy to build relationships with CPA Firms, Associations and Affiliations in the priority markets.
Conduct comparative business analysis of current business patterns and focuses vs. current trend.
Partner with marketing to have articles published that support current industry trends/growth/change in the region, evaluate ROI for marketing spend and extend strategy to digital media campaigns.
Skills and Experience:
3+ years in a strategy-intensive role, i.e. corporate strategy analyst, management consultant, strategic analysis, strategic planning, marketing strategy, etc.
Analytical mindset and experience using data to support decision making.
Top-notch interpersonal and communication skills to interface with strategic advisory board members, C-level executives and represent alliantgroup with potential partners.
Experience with at least two of the following: marketing strategy, strategic alliances / partnerships, event strategy, strategic business development, analytics
